this collection was originally
inspired by the
potter's
participation in the 5-week international
workshop in ceramic art at tokoname (japan, summer 2001--see
"links") and
long
study of japanese art and calligraphy. it now encompasses all
work considered to be of lasting aesthetic value. included
is
pottery produced with
alternative decorating and firing techniques, such as wood, wood/salt,
soda, and
raku.
